Ten women from a working class neighbourhood in the eastern suburbs of Mumbai sign up for a filmmaking workshop. Using basic smartphones, they steal time away from family, work, and daily chores to film themselves and each other. In front of the camera and behind, they play, perform, laugh, argue, dream and confide, forging a wild and intimate friendship that talks about husbands, toilets, murders, and everything in between!

A genre bending co-created feature documentary, Mast Mahila Mandali (Cool Ladies Club) is about how women want to be seen and how they claim joy in everyday life.
